Giving the Gift of Time

De Mazenod Door Outreach is fully dependent on its volunteer base. Volunteers are properly screened, registered, oriented and then scheduled depending upon their preference of program, ministry, event or day of the week (weekday vs. weekend). Volunteers can choose to be on site regularly (weekly or monthly), based on their schedule and our need. Some volunteers choose to volunteer their time to do pick-ups or cooking meals for daily hot lunches.

Forging Friendships

Volunteers are the lifelines of our parishes and ministries. Without the time, effort and gifts of our volunteers, we simply would not be able to fulfill this or any ministry to help those in need. We recognize and appreciate the invaluable contributions of our many volunteers. Through Screening in Faith, we can provide support and protection to our volunteers. Our actions as volunteers and as a Church, while performing our ministries, should be guided at all times by our goal: the protection and safety of our vulnerable people, our volunteers and our Church.

Can You Help?

If you’d like to volunteer your time to help out at the De Mazenod Door Outreach,  we’d love to have you!  Call us at 905-522-9828 or stop by the Parish Office at 20 Emerald Street South and ask for a Volunteer Information Form.  You will be contacted by a Volunteer Screening Committee member who’ll be happy to assist you with everything you need to know.

Are you a student who'd like to volunteer this summer?

De Mazenod Door Outreach currently has openings for Student Volunteers!  What a great way to earn your Christian Service Program volunteer hours while helping others!  If you are interested, simply click the Parental Consent/Student Volunteer button below, fill out the form and drop if off to the Parish Office.  Parental Consent forms are only necessary for youth under the age of 18. These are also available for pick-up at the Parish Office at 20 Emerald Street South, Hamilton. Students over 18 must fill out the regular Volunteer Form (found above), for screening.
